Learning that is lived and completed over time.
Students progress through the Medicine Wheel over time, combining teaching, ceremony, guided experience, practice and integration at each stage rather than treating the work as a one-off course.
A four-year experiential pathway of teaching, journeying, ceremony, practice and integration through South, West, North and East. It is for people who feel drawn to shamanic practice and want to build a relationship with the work over time — for personal growth, deeper spiritual practice, future practitioner work or a more conscious way of meeting life.
Some students come because shamanic practice has already helped them personally. Some feel a strong pull towards spiritual learning but do not know where to begin. Some want to develop skills they may eventually use with others. What matters more than having prior knowledge is being willing to practise, reflect and give the work time to become part of your life.
Each direction is followed by a year of practice and integration. The pace is intentional: you have time to experience the teachings, notice what changes and build confidence before moving on.
The pathway includes journeying, ceremony, energetic practice, paired work, reflection, group support and rites of passage, allowing the learning to be felt and practised as well as understood.
The Bridge is a two-day introduction to the Luminous approach. It gives you a meaningful experience of the work before deciding whether the Medicine Wheel is the right longer path for you.
Two days of guided teaching, ceremony and experiential practice for people who want to understand the Luminous approach before making a longer commitment.
The Bridge is £400. You can come because you are curious, because you want a deeper personal experience or because you are considering practitioner training and want to feel the work for yourself first.

Teachings, journeys, ceremony, paired practice, reflection and integration are woven together so the work can become part of how you live and practise.
Each direction is taught across four in-person days, arranged in two blocks, followed by a year in which the learning is practised and integrated. Cohorts are intentionally small, with up to eight students per direction each year.
The pathway is intentionally progressive. Students develop personal practice and practitioner capability over time rather than collecting disconnected techniques.
The Medicine Wheel is a progressive four-year pathway. Each direction builds on the one before it: South → West → North → East.
Foundational work with embodiment, clearing, relationship to the physical body, stones and energetic practice.
Each direction is taught across four in-person days arranged in two blocks, followed by a year in which the learning is practised and integrated.
Deeper practitioner development focused on release, shadow, boundaries, energetic skill and the courage to meet what is present.
Participants continue through teaching, guided experience, supervised practice, ceremony and integration rather than information alone.
Teachings of emotional freedom, creativity, expression, lightness, transformation and the capacity to move differently through life.
The North Direction includes a 24-hour Vision Quest in nature with your mesa, held within the year-long integration structure.
Perspective, vision, release, movement and the capacity to see beyond familiar patterns and orient towards a wider horizon.
East completes the four-direction Luminous Medicine Wheel pathway.
Four in-person training days in two blocks for each direction.
Structured material to support practice and integration away from the training room.
Four group calls across the year to support integration, questions and continued learning.
Ceremonial elements form part of the experiential training where appropriate.
Initiatory and ceremonial elements are held within the structure of the programme.
Students work with the teachings over time rather than leaving them in the training room.
Medicine Wheel training is experiential. Students work with the teachings through ceremony, journeying, reflection, paired practice and year-long integration rather than learning only through theory.
Students progress through the Medicine Wheel over time, combining teaching, ceremony, guided experience, practice and integration at each stage rather than treating the work as a one-off course.
The programme is structured as a progressive practitioner pathway, with each direction building naturally on the one before it.
South includes White Limpia training. North includes the 24-hour Vision Quest in nature with your mesa.
Medicine Wheel training grows through teaching, shared practice, ceremony and the relationships formed along the way. Each direction asks students to experience the work personally as well as learn how to hold it with care.
“I was lucky enough to hear about Charmaine and The Bridge Training Retreat from a friend. What a weekend! It was 3 years ago and I’m still benefitting from the teachings, insights and healing that I received. Also the ecstatic dance sessions are absolutely amazing!”
